It's been really nice to have this time off. I've managed to collect six weeks worth of vacation time so taking two weeks off sounds like a good idea to me. The problem is I'm not sure what I'm going to do next week. I think I'll have to kick myself into gear and work on our lovely old house. My wife would probably appreciate it if I'd finish off the work in our bedroom so we can move into it. I think that's what I'll do, make sure the bedroom is finished before I'm off vacation.

Over the next week I've managed to line up quite a few softball games. How the heck did I manage to do that during my vacation time? Tomorrow I'll be playing in a tournament, Sunday evening is my usual Visalia mens league gig, Monday night I have a co-ed game and an Exeter mens league game, Wednesday is another Exeter mens league game, Thursday is the beginning of the co-ed tournament, and FINALLY Friday is the co-ed league tournament championship game. Tuesday evening sounds quiet, DOH!

I think I'll have to fit some movie time into the next week as well. There are a gob of movies I'd like to see and have somehow managed to NOT see a single one. Here's the short list...

MIB II
Bourne Identity
Sum of all fears
Minority Report
Road to Perdition
Lilo & Stitch
Reign of Fire
Ya Ya Sisterhood
Croc Hunter
Like I said, that's the short list. I'd imagine I'm missing something in there somewhere. I know we'll take the girls to see Lilo & Stitch, Croc Hunter, and MIB II, and Kim and I will catch Ya Ya for sure. Maybe I can manage to talk her into Minority Report and Bourne Identity as well.

I've been giving a lot of thought to spinning a blogging system of my own, seriously I have. I'd like to create something of a cross between Manila and Blogger. I love the ease of use Blogger affords but I'd love to have the flexibility of Manila and Radio. I dunno, it would be a TON of work and I just don't have the time to give to it. If I didn't have to work for a living I'd give it a go, but that ain't gonna happen. Maybe I should just try to buy a copy of Manila again or figure out how to make Radio work the way I want it to work. Now I wish I hadn't installed Radio on my other box, the one sitting on my desktop at work. I can't even mess around with it while I'm on vacation. Oh well, someday I'll get it figured out. Maybe I can twist Dave's arm hard enough to get him to share how he created and maintains DaveNet, whatcha think Dave do you have time to share the process with the rest of us bottom dwellers?

Howdy Y'All!

We're back! It's been a great week in the mountains, but boy was it hot! Anyway we're back and I'm trying to catch up.

It's not going to be too much nicer here in the Valley tomorrow. The weather man just said it was going to be between 103 and 110 tomorrow, OUCH!

Blogchalking?
