RC in Seattle

[1:10 PM]
StronglyTyped: "I'll be attending the SQLPASS conference in Seattle Nov 9th - 15th." - Take a rain coat and an umbrella! But seriously, Seattle is a wonderful city with a LOT to offer. I'm a bit jealous to be honest. Before leaving Microsoft I didn't get a chance, or a good excuse, to visit Seattle one last time.
Go have a double mocha at Monorail for me, remember all Monorail shots are doubles! While you're at it hit Happy Teriyaki, Zum-Zum, World Class Chili, ummmmm.... give me some time and I'll get you a great list of my old haunts. Yum!

Happy Halloween All!

[12:38 PM]
Wow! I got more answers than I expected.
Call David Williams butter because he's on a roll! For the second week in a row David has managed to press the send button faster than the Moose. We also had a new entrant, an Aussie! So I'm declaring Justin King our International winner!
Congratulations David and Justin!
The correct answer is...
Thanks for playing, see you next week!

Steven Vore supplied our line for the week, again. Thanks Steven.

New Lucasfilm venture
-
[8:03 AM]
Red Herring: "Earlier this year, San Rafael, California-based Lucasfilm quietly formed Lucasfilm Animation, which has been gearing up to produce computer-animated features. Still officially under wraps, the startup will not disclose whether it has any films in development. The company has, however, published an open call for at least 75 positions ranging from computer animators to motion-capture technicians, indicating that it is building a studio that could rival Pixar in scale." - Very cool! Lucasfilm, actually ILM, is one of those places I've always dreamed of working! Hopefully we'll see some wonderful animation turned out of their shop. I don't doubt it'll be fantastic.
Not bad for a kid from Modesto.

Good news for UserLand

Scripting News: "We've also made major progress on bringing a new management team on board for UserLand. Hope to have the deal ready to announce next week." - This is good news for Radio and Manilla users. The ball is rolling in the right direction, not over the top of the users. Good luck to the new crew.

Man I wish I could be at PDC. Talk about over stimulation, brain leakage, etc... I'll bet it's a pretty exciting environment.

Oy... Monday morning blues

[10:03 AM]
I've had a bit of congestion over the past couple of weeks and didn't think much of it until Saturday morning. We spent Friday evening at my brothers house playing Halo and eating pizza. We had a great time, but I stared to feel worse as the even wore on. By Saturday morning I felt like caca. I spent all day on my back. Sunday morning I got up too early because I forgot to turn my clock back so when I got to church it was empty... crickets... I eventually found someone who asked if I'd turned my clock back, ummmmm nope didn't do that. After church I spent the rest of the day on the couch and by about 9PM I was starting to feel a bit better. This morning I'm feeling lots better, although I'm not near 100% yet.
Here's hoping the worst of it is over.
